rarick2Now that 2013 is behind us, I wanted to communicate the significant progress that has been made specifically within the Unsafe Driving and Driver Fitness categories.   We are nearing the removal of both of those Alerts within our ranking.

As you can see by the graph below that both the Unsafe Driving and Driver Fitness Basic are trending in a sharp and positive direction.

The current Driver Fitness Basic score is 77.3.  The threshold score for Alert Status is 75 – therefore, we are 2.4 % away from being removed from Alert Status.

The current Unsafe Driving Basic score is 62.8.  The threshold score for Alert Status is 60 – therefore, we are 2.9% away from being removed from Alert Status.  One highlight for the month of December was there was only one seatbelt violation.  We will continue to conduct internal and external observations throughout 2014 aimed at improving and maintaining this category.

Although Hours of Service appears to be flat, it too is trending in a downward direction over the past six months.  Improving the Vehicle Maintenance score will be one of our biggest challenges for 2014.  However, in the month of December, the newly designed and detailed Evans Vehicle Inspection form has been provided to all of our garages that are performing inspections.

Our focus will remain strong in improving and maintaining our overall CSA scores as we advance into 2014.
